Andorra at high level international technology summit

In keeping with the Andorra Group's remit to remain at the cutting edge of technology as a means to help organisations and individuals improve performance, the company recently sent its Technical Project Manager Simon Dale to Dallas for two weeks to participate in a series of high level seminars and conferences exploring the different aspects of .NET, a set of Microsoft software technologies for connecting information, people, systems, and devices, enabling a high level of software and business system integration through the use of the internet.

Among those attending the two-week summit at the beginning of October were representatives from the Telecoms, Oil, Public Utilities, FMCG, Healthcare and Financial Services sectors.

Commenting on the summit, Dale said: ".NET is a significant development in the progress towards fully integrated systems, and will undoubtedly have a major effect on organizational performance. The range of participants at the summit allowed us to explore a broad range of issues and formulate a significant number of strategies and solutions that address these issues.

In particular, we identified three main areas in which the use of fully integrated technology will allow organizations to improve performance: by lowering operating costs, increasing operating profits and improving connections, both supply-side and customer-side.

Armed with this knowledge, I now intend to incorporate the use of .NET technology into a number of existing Andorra Group product and service offerings, and develop new best of breed offerings based on the technology. These will put the company in a strong position to offer even greater added value to clients, both current and potential, and deliver real bottom line benefits."

Dale has also authored a white paper, Improved Business Performance through .NET Technology, a copy of which will be available for download soon.
