Andorra in Thessaloniki

In April of this year, a number of Andorra Consulting specialists took part in the CEDEFOP Thematic Lifelong Learning Workshop, entitled Workplace Learning - Reaching Those with Low Skills and Older Workers, which was held in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The workshop, which involved 12 experts from across the European Union, looked at selected examples of innovative/good methods, practices, policies in workplace learning to gain insights into effective approaches to raise the participation of low skilled and older workers in lifelong learning at work.

The workshop was chaired by Professor Jonathan Winterton, Director of Research and Professor of Human Resource Development at Toulouse Business School. Professor Winterton has close historical ties with the Andorra Group, having worked with the company's technical experts at Team Co-Activ Limited on the EU DEVELOP project.

Commenting on the Andorra involvement at the workshop, Andorra's Managing Director Steve Bean, who himself delivered a paper on Integrated Learning Domains and his own involvement with the DEVELOP project added: "The event allowed us to platform our ideas to an international audience and get feedback from the experts in attendance. It was extremely interesting meeting up again with acknowledged leaders at both the formal and informal sessions. It's a measure of Andorra's credibility, strength and insight that our paper stimulated so much interest and activity to follow up on."
